Two weeks! That’s all it took for us to reach majority support for ratifying the slate of goals our Bargaining Committee will take forward to the negotiating table! That rapid response is a sign of our strengthening organization. But while a majority is great, we want the message we send to the administration to be unmistakable. To that end we’re extending the window for voting one week to ensure all contract faculty have the opportunity to vote. We’ll close the polls on Monday, Sep 30, at 8pm.

If you have not already voted, please take a moment to add your voice of support here.

As the result of bargaining surveys filled out by a majority of contract faculty, as well as from our town hall, and in-person discussions, these goals are the first step toward a negotiated contract. While the current vote continues, our Bargaining Committee will begin reviewing these initial goals with an eye toward developing more specific proposals to address each goal in detail.

Thank you to everyone who participated so far in the vote. You can find more updates on our union here.

In solidarity,
