We’ve been meeting with the NYU administration’s lawyers for many months, making steady progress towards reaching a fair agreement so we can vote on unionization. Tomorrow, Friday, November 17, our Planning Assembly will convene at 12:00 pm on Zoom. We’ll review the NYU administration’s current response, and discuss important next steps, including the remaining aspects of our agreement such as neutrality and election procedures. . Please RSVP to ensure that you receive the meeting link, agenda, and materials for review.

YES — I’ll be at CFU Planning Assembly tomorrow!

Since this process began, we’ve had many opportunities to reaffirm that our strength is in our numbers. By consistently turning out big groups of contract faculty of all ranks and titles from all over NYU in our meetings with the lawyers, we’ve shown that we’re working together across our different schools and departments to build collective power. When contract faculty come together, our combined institutional knowledge and experience means that we know far more about how the university works than they do.

Please join us tomorrow to help democratically decide these critical next steps for how we can win our union. We’ll be stronger if you lend your voice to that conversation.
