RSVP for our third Planning Assembly this Friday October 20th!

We continue to make major steps towards securing a fair election framework to exercise our right to vote on unionization. Thanks to the support across campus, we’ve now made significant progress with the university administration towards winning the most-inclusive possible bargaining unit.

Please join us this Friday 10/20 at 12pm to discuss critical next steps.

Friday’s meeting will focus on our complete counterproposal on our appropriate bargaining unit: the contract faculty who will be covered by an eventual contract, if we all turn out and vote “union yes” in our election. Because the counterproposal is complex, we will be circulating a draft tomorrow to confirmed RSVPs, and we ask that you take the time to review it in advance of our discussion and deliberation on Friday.

It’s important that contract faculty members turn out for this one! We need to have representative voices in the room as we decide what comes next in our negotiations with the administrations’ lawyers and our efforts to win our union.

If you are unable to join on Friday but would like to get more involved, please reply to this email. You can also send a photo and quote on why you want a union for contract faculty by filling out this form, and a colleague will get in touch.

Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or thoughts.
