Voting on whether to ratify our Tentative Agreement with the NYU administration opened today! You can find highlights, including a complete summary and link to our full Tentative Agreement, here.

After reaching a Tentative Agreement early Wednesday morning, the CFU bargaining committee has suspended the strike pending the outcome of the ratification vote. If a majority of voters choose to ratify the Tentative Agreement, it will go into effect. Our elected bargaining committee strongly recommends ratification of the Agreement as our first union contract.

If you haven’t done so already, please take a minute to vote – the more of us who participate in voting, the more power we will have as contract faculty to enforce our contract and fight for more rights and improvements.

Eligible voters are contract faculty who are currently employed by NYU and who have filled out a CFU-UAW authorization card. If you have not previously signed a card, you may do so during the voting period in order to receive your ballot.

More information on voting:

  • Digital ballots have been sent to all card-signers with the subject line ‘Vote now: Contract Faculty United Ratification Vote’. If you cannot immediately locate your ballot, search that subject line in all inboxes (including spam, promotions, etc).

  • If you have not received a ballot, please fill out this form to request one.

  • You may sign a card here at any time to participate in our union’s contract ratification vote.
  • Our ratification vote will close at 5pm, Monday, April 6th.

Last Friday, over 300 contract faculty joined our town hall (on zoom + in-person) to discuss our historic tentative agreement, review highlights, and get answers to questions!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or thoughts, or to get more involved.
