Join us tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25, as we take our contract fight to Brooklyn. For the past two days our Brooklyn-based colleagues have been commuting to the Square to support our picket lines at Paulson. Tomorrow, Manhattan colleagues will return the favor, and turn out to show the administration that we’re fighting for the same goals across all our campuses.

Pickets start at 9:00 am at 6 Metrotech, and continue to til 4:00 pm. If you haven’t signed up for a shift yet, take a moment and do so now.

If you’re not able to make it to Brooklyn for the early shift, join us at Greene and Washington from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm for the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Memorial. Our own Emily Bauman of Liberal Studies will speak to the connections between this historic labor struggle and our own — the Brown building isn’t a sweatshop anymore, but it’s still a dangerous workplace, and it’s ours. When the ceremony wraps, we’ll travel to Tandon together.

Our strike is one of the largest and most joyful in recent memory, and we can’t wait to continue fighting together.

In solidarity,

Elisabeth Fay, on behalf of CFU-UAW Bargaining Committee

hundreds of contract faculty from across nearly every department have joined our picket line the last two days!
