Sign up for a picket shift to reach a fair agreement!
While we have made some progress this weekend in negotiations, it’s critical we continue to prepare for a strike tomorrow, March 23rd, in the event NYU does not reach a fair agreement. A majority of all contract faculty have committed to strike if necessary, and plan to join us on the picket line. If you haven’t already, please take a moment to sign up for a picket shift here.
The more of us who sign up for shifts ahead of our deadline — especially tomorrow, on Day 1 — the stronger message we send to the administration to avert a strike, and reach an agreement with us.
We hope to reach an agreement before the deadline, but we need to prepare to participate in our strike in the event that the NYU administration refuses to meet our core bargaining demands. Signing up for shifts is also important to receive strike benefits, if it becomes necessary.
